A Warm Welcome
From our Headteacher

We are extremely proud of our children at Co-op Academy Smithies Moor.

I am absolutely delighted and incredibly proud to introduce myself as the new Headteacher of Co-op Academy Smithies Moor. It has been a genuine pleasure to meet the children, staff, and wider community of Heckmondwike. The energy, warmth, and commitment I have already seen, tells me that this is a truly special place to learn and work. At Co-op Academy Smithies Moor, everything we do is rooted in the Co-op Ways of Being: Be yourself, always; Do What Matters Most; Show You Care; and Succeed Together. These values will continue to be the foundation upon which we build success for every single child. My commitment is to ensure the academy is a place where: Every student feels valued and safe, allowing them to thrive both academically and personally. We maintain high standards and expectations in all aspects of academy life. We foster a truly cooperative and ambitious learning environment where potential is unlocked and celebrated. I am looking forward to working collaboratively with all of you, to build an exciting and successful future for Co-op Academy Smithies Moor.
