I'm Miss Sladden and I'm excited to work at Co-op Academy Smithies Moor as part of the Leadership Team. I'm proud to be working with Mrs Watkiss and Mr Dawson, as well as the fantastic staff team, children and community, as Deputy Headteacher. 

I trained to teach at Goldsmiths University in London, focusing on Primary teaching with a specialism in Primary Languages. After qualifying, I joined Hatcham Temple Grove Free School, part of the Haberdasher's Academy Trust South. Whilst at the school I taught across Year 2, 5 and 6 and, as part of my role as Assistant Headteacher, led the team to achieve outcomes in the top 2% of primary schools in the country. 

In 2023, I relocated from London to Leeds and joined the Co-op Academy Trust as an Assistant Headteacher at Co-op Academy Beckfield, where I continue to be Deputy Headteacher alongside Co-op Academy Smithies Moor. We are proud of the journey of school improvement that Beckfield has been on, including being graded as a 'Good' school by Ofsted and improving outcomes for all children. I am proud to work for a Trust that holds the Co-op Ways of Being at the heart of the mission of improving education. 

I am dedicated to promoting high-standards for all, so that every child leads primary school achieving their best academically, socially and emotionally.
