Hi! I'm Mr. Dawson. I am extremely proud - and excited - to be working alongside the Senior Leadership Team, the incredible staff team, our wonderful children, and the wider school community, as Deputy Headteacher. 

Since starting in education over 17 years ago, I have built a wealth of experience, including working as a Teaching Assistant, Behavioural Support Worker, Teacher across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, Key Stage Leader, and Assistant and Deputy Headteacher - proudly serving Halifax, Bradford, Huddersfield, and now Heckmondwike. 

I put the children at the heart of what I do; my vision for a high-quality education is where every child is nurtured, encouraged and challenged to achieve their full potential. Moreover, I believe that it is vital to constantly improve and evolve as a practitioner, as no individual is ever a final product, and that we, as educators, must also continue to be learners.
